"Nibbles" (nibbles)

Long story short, I've accepted a position that is back in line with my career goals and places me back in my salary comfort range. They want me to start on the 14th which is fine. Do I stay where I am (hell) for a week? Do I hand in a nice resignation letter? Do I pull a Half Baked?
Just so we're clear, I absolutely loathe it here. Loathe is a strong word, but there is still probably a stronger one that more closely relays my opinion of this place.

What reasons do you have to stay?

One more week of making marginally over minimum wage? Which could be easily covered by our savings, and in turn replaced into savings when I get my first check from the new job, considering it's just a tad under 300% pay increase?

Your logic is flawless! Just stay at your first job.

I'm leaning toward this. Then going down to the mall to check out Teslas

Do you have holiday you can book? I'd caution against pulling a sickie in case your future employer get wind of it and decides they don't like that.

Nope. Current job there's no holiday. No sick, no PTO, no 401 (k), health, dental or vision. I've already told future employer about the situation and they're actually fine with it. There's a chance I could start even sooner if they pull some strings; that's how badly they want me on their team

You owned a horse, making minimum wage?
That sounds very impressive.

Nearly minimum wage. I've had the horse longer than I've had this job; we ensured we were able to continue boarding her. We sacrificed things like eating out, tv, and put my project car on indefinite hold in order to keep our animals.

Do you compete with it, or is she just like a really large pet that you can ride?

She's 3. 14.3 hands (barely over pony) and barely touching 800 lbs. At 145, I'm almost too heavy for her. We're breaking her this spring and will probably use her for training, as she is about the most mellow horse I've ever seen.

Thanks! I visibly do fuck all anyway - the "workload," if you can call it that, consists purely of an hours worth of putting numbers in a file and uploading to FTP. Otherwise, I dick around on Oppo all day
